Lets Play

We came home after all of our travels during Christmas and put James in his play center for the very first time. While he could barely touch the ground, he was certainly enamored with all of the toys and even figured out how to spin his seat! We cannot believe how fast he is developing.

Merry Christmas

Opening presents on Christmas morning. James even stayed in his pajamas like the rest of the family and tried to figure out what was going on. He even wore a Christmas bib (even if it was only for a minute!)


Merry Christmas! James enjoyed his first Lamdin Christmas Eve Party. We took a couple of photos before the crowd came. Funny the only person who could get him to look at the camera was his Uncle Nick! James was a little unnerved during the party -- so many admirers but soon settled down and let people hold him! Overall it was a fun night.

Yankees!

Our little Yankee fan! Now we just need to get him a Yankee hat that matches his new outfit and Yankee PJ's for next season!

Let it Snow!

James enjoyed his first real snow storm of the year. He was nice and bundled in his bugaboo, which was key. The big wheels really come in handy on the not so plowed sidewalks. Dont you just wish that you could be pushed around covered up and in a plush sleeping bag?

Sleepytime

James has found his new blankie, it is a lamb with a soft blankie lined with silk (thank you Mrs. Chatfield). Yesterday he would only nap if he had the lamb, he actually took the lamb from his lap and pulled it up onto his chest -- it was too cute. Of course, he needs his binki to sleep too!

Last night was a great night. For only the second time since he was born James slept thru the NIGHT! He went down around 10pm and slept to almost 7:30am. Needless to say Matt and I were thrilled with getting a full night sleep.

Playtime and Yummy Hands

James is getting better and better control over his head every day. Today we tried to play in our Bebepod. He did a great job! Look at that concentration on his face.

James has always enjoyed sucking on his hands. He is desperately trying to find his thumbs but for some reason cannot "suck" them out of his fists. It cracks us up when he tries to put both of his fists into his mouth at the same time! What a crazy kid.

2 Month Doctor Visit

Today was a big day for James. We visited the doctor for a our 2 month check up. James now weighs 12 pounds 11 onces and is 24 inches long! He is in the 60th percentile for weight and 80th for height! Looks like he might be a tall boy after all! Who would have thought?

We are just happy that he is healthy and growing like a bean!

Thanksgiving

James's first Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Pawlowski's house. Also his first time in the snow! We had a long drive but James did great and enjoyed seeing all of his uncles, his aunt, grandparents and great grandmother Kato.

To Cute for Words!

De-Throning of King George

George is my parents' dog. He does not like being de-throned. The entire trip home he did not know what to do about baby James. He would get very upset with my mom because she paid more attention to the baby and he all the sudden wasnt allowed on all of the furniture. In this picture he tried to reclaim his post while mom was feeding baby James. It had us all laughing.

James is learning to enjoy his bath. At first getting wet is not a fun experience, but slowly over the last couple of weeks we have even experienced a couple of laughs, smiles and even a kicking in the big tub!

James has been smiling for weeks but we haven't been able to capture it. Uncle Neil came to visit and had James smiling the entire time. It just melts your heart when he shows you his big grin.

Baby Hands Up

Baby James cannot sleep swaddled. He always has to have his hands above his head when he sleeps. It is very funny, there will even be times when his hands are completely up in the air.

First Halloween

James was a lobster for Halloween. Although he only spent an hour in his costume, most of which he was sleeping, it still made for a fun time celebrating the spooky night with our good friends, Abby, Tracy, Kristy and Coulter. We even got Coulter to actually hold me! It must have been Halloween!

Crabby

At only a month old James caught a nasty cold and spent a night at Children's Hospital (thank you to all the wonderful nurses and doctors who are still calling just to check in!). Even after James came home he was still "crabby" so this is only fitting!

Head of the Charles

James made his first appearance at the Head of the Charles. It was quite a cold day, but he had a good time snoozing in his bundled "sleeping bag" and had a good time meeting all of Liz's old rowing friends and both of our college friends. James especially had fun hanging out in reunion village!

Tummy Time -- James quit and decided to nap instead. He has to wear the gloves because he loves to scratch his face.

The Boppy Buzzy Chair

James Boppy buzzy chair has become everyone's best friend. James loves to nap in this chair and every man wishes his chair would vibrate like such. At only a week old James is showing just how cute he really is!

Time To Go Home

We had to stay an extra day in the hospital to see if James was still loosing weight, but we were all excited when we got discarged!

James first time in his car seat went smoothly. Not a single peep the entire 1/2 mile drive home. Thank you everyone at the Brigham we all had great care (even though we got a little jaundice). At home James preferred to sleep in the bassinet of his bugaboo carriage with his characteristic pirate eye! To bad he has the Bassinet handed down by Liz's family over the last 100 years to sleep in and he wont right now.

At home James met his Lamdin grandparents and his Aunt Molly. They had lots of fun watching him sleep. He is already proving to be quite the flirt!

Day 2

So today was a busy day of sleeping and eating. Although James lost a lot of weight we continued to persevere with our feedings. James certainly enjoys kangarooing with Mom. The sound of her heart beat is comforting as he had listened to it for nine whole months. At the end of James' first full day of eating, pooping and sleeping, he had some welcomed visitors to check him out! And, his last visitors of the day were his Pawlowski grandparents!

James Matthew 9.22.08

James Matthew made his arrival after 26 hours of laborat 8:20pm. While he was being stubborn and not wanting to turn the right way, he arrived with less than 30 minutes of pushing, making mom and dad very happy, even if he bears the mark of arriving in this world head facing up. But we love his angel kiss!
